CVN October Update

CVN Chair's Report
With Fall weather on its way, it's time to pull out our winter clothes, sip apple cider, and admire the changing leaves.  While the Fall is an exciting time for many, the dropping temperatures also mean an increased risk for homeless Arlingtonians.  Though homelessness is a concern throughout the year, it's especially important to help those in need as it gets cooler outside.  To that end, the County's Emergency Winter Shelter will open on November 1st and A-SPAN is looking for volunteers.
In lieu of our regular monthly meet-up in October, CVN will be joining A-SPAN at a happy hour that will serve as a fundraiser and an opportunity to learn more about the organization and how you can help.  You can also sign up for great CVN events, such as the final gardening event of the year and a haunted house for kids.

We hope to see you at the happy hour or at one of our upcoming events (or both)!
