Message from Leadership Team
We would like to thank all of CVN's volunteers and community partners for a wonderful year! So far in 2011, CVN volunteers have participated in over 40 events and contributed nearly 900 hours of service to the community. We're finishing up strong with several events in the next few weeks.
If you're traveling during the holidays and looking for more ways to give back, we encourage you to visit the Hands On Networkto find an action center near year.

- December Monthly Meetup @ American Tap Room (Clarendon) – Tuesday, December 13th, 7-9:00pm | Join CVN at the American Tap Room to learn more about our upcoming events and meet fellow volunteers. This month we will be collecting wrapping paper and children's gifts to bring to the OAR Christmas Angel event. RSVP here.
- OAR Project Christmas Angel - Thursday, December 15th, 6:30-8:30pm | Project Christmas Angel, led by a local non-profit Offender Aid and Restoration (OAR), is an annual event that helps provide gifts for the children of incarcerated parents. At the wrapping party, we will hand-pick gifts based upon ideas from parents, wrap them, and prepare them to be delivered. This event is currently full. If you'd like to be added to a waiting list in case of cancellations, please email cvn.admin@gmail.com.
- Arlington County Emergency Winter Shelter - Sunday, January 1st, 5:30-7:30pm | Volunteers will assist A-SPAN at the Emergency Winter Shelter by serving the evening meal, distributing bedding and hygiene items, monitoring the clothing room, watching the front door, or completing a variety of other tasks to help the shelter run smoothly.
