1,000 Hours End of Summer Update

With summer coming to a close I wanted to take a minute and update all you CVNers with how our goal to reach 1,000 hours of volunteering is going.  Our pace slowed down during the Summer a bit and we're at 653 hours as of 8/24.  Maybe it was the heat?  Still, we only need another 347 hours over the next 4 months to break 1,000, and looking at the many 100+ hour months we had to start the year I'm still confident we can make it.  We can't do it alone though.  It's been a communal effort to get us where we are and we need everyone to pitch in and help push CVN past this historic milestone.  Check out the upcoming ACE Four Mile Run Cleanup, ATS Schoolyard Garden, and Tuckahoe Elementary Garden Day events and see if you can find some time to help out in Arlington this September!
