AUGUST CRM UPDATE

Dear CRM volunteer,

Thanks again for completing the CRM online survey.  We are excited to be making some changes to Community Role Models this upcoming year.  First and foremost, we are planning a monthly update email (hence the name of this message).  Every month we will be sending out an email highlighting upcoming activities and events, as well as information on organizations and websites we think you will find interesting.

CRM ACTIVITIES & EVENTS

We are taking a short breather right now, but starting in September we will be hosting monthly group volunteer activities, and every other month we will be hosting an informal speaker series at a local venue.  We do still need help with Outreach at the Buckingham Festival on Sunday, August 14th.

CRM VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

You can always visit the CRM Volunteer Opportunities page on the CRM website to see Arlington community volunteer opportunities that we think will peak your interest.  But a few to note in the coming weeks:

Swing a Hammer for Fun and a Good Cause - Saturday, August 20th from 9-3

First Day Information Packet Night - Tuesday, September 6 from 6-9 PM

Lots of Great Opportunities with Arlington Public Schools

GET IT DONE ONLINE

The Arlington County Volunteer Office recently launched a new component of its Online Volunteer Connection called Arlington BoardMatch.  This is a new way for folks to get involved in a leadership position with a local organization.  Boards are a big responsibility but a great way to truly influence a local organization.
