February/March Events, Leader Training & PLACE Initiative

Message from the Chair
At the Arlington County Board's New Year's meeting this year, Board Chair Mary Hynes announced a new initiative --Participation, Leadership and Civic Engagement (PLACE). To help kick off this initiative, there are two open house events taking place in March. CVN is proud to be one of the sponsors of these events and we encourage all of you to attend.

I'd also like you to be aware of a number of events that have recently been added to our calendar. In particular, all volunteers who would like to learn more about CVN and how to take on a greater role are encouraged to attend the Volunteer Leader Training on February 28th.

For the past two years, this event has filled up quickly and it's always a lot of fun! Register here.
  • ATS Schoolyard Garden - Sunday March 18th, 2:00 - 4:00pm | Lend a hand with the monthly crew of CVN volunteers helping out in the garden at Arlington Traditional School.
