CVN Chair's Report

At our meet-up with A-SPAN earlier this month, we heard from Shay Kelley, the inspirational leader of Project 50/50. She explained that each of us has time, talent, and value, and encouraged us to do what we can to help the community. Shay serves as a great reminder that every little bit helps, and that whenever possible, we should strive to give back even more.

If you're looking to get more involved, I encourage you to consider serving as a leader within CVN. We will have positions open on our Leadership Team and committees in 2011 and they are a great way to develop your leadership skills, make new friends, and give back to the community. Details on the open positions and applications will be available in early November. For more information, please contact me at cvn.chair@gmail.com or come to our November meet-up where you can speak to everyone from the current Leadership Team about their experiences with CVN.

Until then, we have a lot to keep us busy, including our biggest event of the year -- Community Residences -- on November 13th. Encourage your friends to join you at this great outdoor event and then join us afterward for a fun celebration!
